The lion and the fox
The lion once said that he was sick on his death bed.
So he asked all the animals to come and listen to his last wishes.
The goat came to the lions cave. He stood there and listened for a long time.
Then a sheep went in. Before she came out, a rabbit entered to hear the last wishes of the king of beasts.
But soon the lion seemed to recover, and went to the mouth of his cave.
He saw a fox waiting outside. Why dont you come in? asked the lion to the fox.
I beg Your Majestys pardon, said the fox, I have seen many animals enter your cave, but none of them come out.
Till they come out again, I prefer to wait outside.
狮子与狐狸
一头年老的狮子声称自己病得要死了，他告诉所有的动物来听他的临终遗言。
一只山羊进入狮子的洞穴，并一直留在那里，接着一只绵羊也进去了。之前，一只兔子也曾进去听这兽中之王的临终遗言。

One story about Jack， an Irishman， who was not allowed into Heaven because he was stingy with his money. So he was sent to hell. But down there he played tricks on the Devil （Satan）， so he was kicked out of Hell and made to walk the earth forever carrying a lantern.
Well， Irish children made Jack's lanterns on October 31st from a large potato or turnip， hollowed out with the sides having holes and lit by little candles inside. And Irish children would carry them as they went from house to house begging for food for the village Halloween festival that honored the Druid god Muck Olla. The Irish name for these lanterns was Jack with the lantern or Jack of the lantern， abbreviated as Jack-o'-lantern and now spelled jack-o-lantern. The traditional Halloween you can read about in most books was just children's fun night. Halloween celebrations would start in October in every elementary school.
